At present,fatty liver disease is the first major liver disease that seriously threatens human health,but there is no recognized treatment scheme.Research have found that intestinal flora and bile acids are closely related to the occurrence and development of fatty liver disease.Traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacy has made certain research progress in the treatment of fatty liver disease.It will be summarized in this paper that the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacy in the treatment of fatty liver is impacting bile acid metabolism through intestinal flora from the following six aspects,which are:Improving glucose and lipid metabolism.Regulating the expression of bile acid transporter.Promoting the proliferation and differentiation of intestinal stem cells and protecting the intestinal barrier function.Increasing autophagy and reducing the accumulation of reactive oxygen species.Adjusting the differentiation of macrophages.Stimulating gallbladder contraction and lowering plasma cholesterol.Reference for further research in the treatment of fatty liver disease is provided.
