Study on correlation between serum FFA,IL-37 and Lp-PLA2 and vascular endothelial injury in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
Objective To investigate the correlation between the changes of serum free fatty acid(FFA),interleukin-37(IL-37)and lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2)and vascular endothelial injury in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods A total of 1 13 T2DM patients admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shandong First Medical University(our hospital)from January to June 2023 were selected as the T2DM group(experimental group),and 113 patients with healthy physical examination results in our hospital during the same period were selected as the healthy group(control group). The blood lipid index, blood glucose index and vascular endothelial injury index of the two groups were detected and statistically analyzed. Results The levels of fasting blood glucose(FPG),free fatty acids(FFA),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),triglycerides(TG),low-density lipoprotein(LDL),IL-37,and Lp-PLA2 in the T2DM group were higher than those in the healthy group, while the levels of nitric oxide(NO)were lower than those in the healthy group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in total cholesterol(TC)and high-density lipoprotein(HDL)between the two groups(P>0.05).The levels of FFA,IL-27,and Lp-PLA2 in the T2DM group were positively correlated with the decrease in NO level(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis was performed using NO as the criterion for endothelial injury in T2DM.The AUC and 95%CI of IL-37,Lp-PLA2,and FFA were higher than other detection indicators and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion FFA,IL-37 and Lp-PLA2,significantly reduced NO level, correlated with vascular endothelial injury and have important clinical significance for the prediction and screening of T2DM vascular lesions.
