A study on the relationship between psychological resilience and self-management ability and state of illness in patients with schizophrenia during convalescence
Objective To explore the relationship between psychological resilience and self-management ability and state of illness in patients with schizophrenia during rehabilitation, and to provide nursing strategies for promoting rehabilitation. Methods A total of 245 inpatients with schizophrenia who were in convalescence in the psychiatric ward of Shandong Daizhuang Hospital from October 2022 to February 2023 were selected. They were surveyed using conner davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC)schizophrenia self-management instrument scale(SSMIS)and Nursing Observation Rating Scale(NORS).The relationship between the three was analyzed using Pearson correlation analysis and intermediary effect analysis. Results The total score of the Psychological Resilience Scale for Schizophrenic Patients was(55.05±6.72)scores,the total score of the Self-Management Scale for Schizophrenic Patients was(64.67±7.67)scores,and the total score of the Mental Nursing Observation Scale was(31.13±10.05)scores.The Pearson correlation analysis results showed a positive correlation between psychological resilience and self-management ability(r=0.925,P<0.01),a negative correlation between psychological resilience and state of illness(r=-0.965,P<0.01),and a negative correlation between self-management ability and state of illness(r=-0.898,P<0.01).The mediating effect of psychological resilience between self-management ability and state of illness was 0.085,accounting for 9.2%of the total effect. Conclusion Psychological resilience is a factor that affects the self-management ability and state of illness in patients with schizophrenia during convalescence. It can play a mediating role between self-management ability and condition, and improving the level of psychological resilience can help improve the state of illness in patients with schizophrenia.
