Practical research on innovative small-class teaching mode combining Chinese and western education in Systematic Anatomy teaching
Objective To apply some of the teaching methods used in western medical schools in the small class teaching mode of Systematic Anatomy in Bengbu Medical University,in order to improve the teaching effect of small-class mode.Methods Random number table method was used to select 2 classes out of 24 classes of clinical majors in the class of 2022 in Bengbu Medical University as the control group(5 classes,24 students)and the experimental group(15 classes,26 students),and Systematic Anatomy was taught in the second semester of the academic year of 2022-2023.The control group was taught in the traditional mode,while the experimental group was taught in the innovative integrated Chinese and western small-class teaching mode combining western group discussion and interdisciplinary teaching design in the immersive teaching mode.The teaching effect was assessed by theoretical examination,experimental examination and survey on students.Results Students in the experimental group scored higher than the control group in theory assessment and laboratory assessment,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The length of time to complete the practical assessment of students in the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The questionnaire survey showed that more students in the experimental group than in the control group thought that they accepted and wished to promote,the classroom was more interesting and above,the initiative of learning was improved,and the length of time to study daily anatomical knowledge was≥1 h,early clinical thinking was established,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The innovative teaching mode combining Chinese and western education in small class can improve students'learning enthusiasm and concentration,cultivate medical students'autonomous learning ability,and make them form clinical thinking as soon as possible,which provides enlightenment for the teaching reform of anatomy in medical colleges in China.
