Research on serum levels of LCN-2,sFlt-1 and PIGF in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus complicated with preeclampsia and their clinical significance
Objective To investigate the serum levels of lipocalin-2(LCN2),soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase l(sFlt-1)and placental growth factor(PIGF)in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus complicated with preeclampsia(GDM-PE)and their clinical significance. Methods A total of 70 parturient admitted to the Department of Obstetrics in the Affiliated Hospital for Nationalities,Guangxi Medical University to conduct inpatient prenatal checkups and give birth to singletons from October 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the research objects. The patients were divided into the GDM-PE group, the gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)group, the preeclampsia(PE)group and the control group, and then the levels of LCN2,sFlt-1,PIGF,monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)and advanced oxidation protein products(AOPP)were determined by implementing ELISA.Results There was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in the comparison of general data among the four groups. The levels of LCN2,sFlt-1,MCP-1,and AOPP in the GDM-PE,PE,and GDM groups were higher than those in the control group, while the level of PIGF was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The serum LCN2 and sFlt-1 level of patients in the GDM-PE group increase significantly, while PIGF level decrease significantly. In the early evaluation of diseases in the GDM-PE group, the combined application of the three indices has relatively higher clinical application value.
