Analysis on the application value evaluation of S100-βexpression in premature infants with brain injury
Objective To analyze the application value of central nervous system specific proteins(S100-β)expression in premature infants with brain injury. Methods Premature infants with brain injury admitted to and treated in the Songshan Lake Central Hospital of Dongguan City from October 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the observation objects of the case group(n=34),and neonates born in our hospital in the same period were selected as the observation objects of the control group(n=46).The abnormal expression of S100-β,premature infants-related indices,prognosis-related indices and S100-β expression levels at different time points between the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The abnormal rate of S100-β expression in premature infants of the case group was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The scores of neonatal behavioral neurological assessment(NBNA),test of infant motor performance(TIMP)(corrected for 40 weeks)and TIMP(corrected for 4 months)were all lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the expression levels of S100-β in premature infants of the case group decreased with time, and the expression levels of S1 00-β at different time points were compared, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).In the comparison of related indices of premature infants between the group of good prognosis and the group of poor prognosis, the S100-β level of premature infants in the group of good prognosis was lower than that of the group of poor prognosis, and the TIMP score(corrected for 40 weeks)and TIMP score(corrected for 4 months)were all higher than those in the group of poor prognosis, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion S100-β index detection applied to the diagnosis in premature infants with brain injury can fully reflect the condition and prognosis of them, and can prompt medical workers to give rehabilitation treatment to premature infants with brain injury in time to improve their quality of life, which has relatively higher clinical application value.
