Research on the correlation of pain catastrophizing in patients with trigeminal neuralgia
Objective To investigate the status quo of pain catastrophizing occurrence in patients with trigeminal neuralgia,so as to provide reference basis for clinical prevention and effective intervention. Methods According to the convenient sampling method,a total of 62 patients with trigeminal neuralgia admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery in Xinjiang Uiger Municipal People's Hospital from July 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the research objects. The general situation questionnaire, pain catastrophizing scale and visual analogue scale were used to investigate. Results The pain catastrophizing score of patients with trigeminal neuralgia was(26.68±8.67)points,and the visual analogue scale score was(4.65±1.47)points.Pearson correlation results showed that there was a positive correlation between patients'pain catastrophizing and their pain scores(r=0.537,P<0.001).The results of stratified regression showed that pain catastrophizing independently explain 14.7%of postoperative pain variance in TN patients. Conclusion Patients with trigeminal neuralgia have a relatively higher degree of pain catastrophizing, which has an impact on the real pain situation. Therefore, the pain catastrophizing should be upgraded in the understanding.
