Analysis on the status quo and impacting factors of nurses'career anchor in general hospitals of Lvliang City
Objective To investigate the status quo and impacting factors of nurses'career anchor in general hospitals of Lvliang City in Shanxi Province.Methods In March 2022,a total of 651 nurses in Shanxi Province Fenyang Hospital and the People's Hospitals in Lvliang City,Fenyang City,Xiaoyi City,Jiaokou County,Zhongyang County and Xing County were investigated by using self-designed general information questionnaire and career anchor scale.Results The top two types of nurses'career anchors in the general hospital of Lvliang City were safety/stability type and technology/function type,while the bottom two types were comprehensive management type and entrepreneurship/innovation type.There was a statistically significant difference in the proportion contrast of safety/stability type career anchors in nurses of different ages(P<0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference in the proportion contrast of pure challenge career anchors in nurses of different service years(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the proportion contrast of safety/stability type and service/dedication type career anchors in nurses of different marriages(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the proportion contrast of career anchors in nurses with different numbers of children,such as safety/stability type,service/dedication type,pure challenge type and lifestyle type(P<0.05).There was statistically significant difference in the proportion contrast of lifestyle type career anchors in nurses with different academic qualifications(P<0.05).There was statistically significant difference in the proportion contrast of autonomy/independence career anchors in nurses with different hospital grades(P<0.05).There was statistically significant difference in the proportion contrast of safety/stability career anchors in nurses with different professional titles(P<0.05).Conclusion Nurses'career anchors in general hospitals of Lvliang City are mainly of safety/stability type and technology/function type.Different demographic characteristics have an impact on the types of nurses'career anchors.Nursing managers should plan their careers according to the types of career anchors to increase the vigor and vitality of nursing career.
