A case of autoimmune encephalitis with anti-NMDAR antibody
Autoimmune encephalitis(AE)refers to encephalitis mediated by autoimmunity. There are diverse kinds of autoimmune antibodies involved, and their clinical manifestations are also different. In the past,AE was mostly diagnosed exclusively. Most patients with AE have abnormal signals on magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),which are easily misdiagnosed as brain tumors. Some AE may be complicated by related tumors, which is called paraneoplastic AE,so there is the possibility of missed diagnosis in clinic. With the development of multiple related research both domestically and internationally, and the publication of various related literatures, clinical workers have a more comprehensive understanding of AE as a disease. This case is relatively typical and can help clinical workers to further understand and learn about AE.
