Impact of gallic acid on proliferation, migration, invasion and epithelial-mesenchymal transition of human osteosarcoma HOS cells
Objective To investigate the impacts of gallic acid(GA)on proliferation, migration, invasion and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)of human osteosarcoma HOS cells. Methods CCK-8 kit was used to detect the impact of gallic acid on the survival rate of human osteosarcoma HOS cells. The impact of gallic acid on the migration and invasion ability of HOS cells was detected by cell scratch healing experiment and Transwell chamber.Western blot was used to detect the expression levels of E-cadherin,N-cadherin,Vimentin and Snail proteins in HOS cells. Results Gallic acid could significantly inhibit the proliferation, migration and invasion of human osteosarcoma HOS cells.Gallic acid significantly upregulated the expression of E-cadherin protein and downregulated the expression of N-cadherin,Vimentin and Snail proteins. Conclusion Gallic acid can inhibit the proliferation, migration, invasion and EMT of human osteosarcoma HOS cells.
