Effect observation on umbilical therapy with traditional Chinese medicine combined with nursing intervention in the treatment of ulcerative colitis in remission stage
Objective To observe the clinical effect of umbilical therapy with traditional Chinese medicine combined with nursing intervention on ulcerative colitis(UC)in remission stage.Methods A total of 70 patients with UC in remission admitted to the Department of Gastroenterology,Gaomi People's Hospital Affiliated to Shandong Second Medical University from January 2021 to March 2023 were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group by random number table method,with 35 patients in each group.The control group took orally mesalazine enteric-coated tablets 1.0 g tid,while the treatment group was given"Shiwei Kangyan Recipe"gel and continuous nursing intervention.The severity of UC was evaluated by modified Mayo score(MMC).Ulcerative colitis disease activity index(UCDAI)was used to evaluate the disease activity.The inflammatory bowel disease questionnaire(IBDQ)was used to evaluate the quality of life.Inflammatory factors such as interleukin(IL)-6 and IL-8 and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)were examined.Self-rating depression scale(SDS)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)were adopted to evaluate the psychological situation of UC patients.Results The scores of MMC and UCDAI in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group at the 5th and 6th month,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The score of IBDQ in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group at the 3rd,4th,5th and 6th month,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).The levels of inflammatory factors in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group at the 3rd and 6th month,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The scores of SDS and SAS in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group at the 3rd and 6th month,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of umbilical therapy with traditional Chinese medicine and continuous nursing in the treatment group can improve the quality of life of patients and improve the prognosis of UC,and its clinical efficacy is better than that in the control group.
