Application effect of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine combined with wound vacuum sealing drainage in the treatment of patients with diabetic foot ulcer
Objective To investigate the application effect of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine combined with wound vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)in the treatment of patients with diabetic foot ulcer.Methods A total of 80 patients with diabetic foot ulcer admitted to Zibo Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to July 2023 were selected,and they were divided into the observation group(n=40)and the control group(n=40)according to the random number table method.The observation group was treated with external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine combined with wound VSD,while the control group was treated with wound VSD only.The wound healing,quality of life and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Results The obvious granulation time and wound healing time in the observation group were(8.31±3.14)days and(30.13±4.32)days,shorter than(11.52±3.17)days and(42.56±6.87)days in the control group,and the reduction in wound area in the observation group was(46.18±6.29)％,higher than(37.27±4.36)％in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The quality of life scores of various dimensions and total scores in the observation group higher than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was 5.00％(2/40),lower than 25.00％(10/40)in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion External treatment of traditional Chinese medicine combined with wound VSD in the treatment of patients with diabetic foot ulcer has a relatively good application effect,which can effectively improve wound healing and improve the quality of life,and has a relatively high safety.
