Effect and mechanism of aerosol inhalation of budesonide combined with dexibuprofen suppositories in the clinical treatment of acute pharyngitis complicated with high fever
Objective To explore the clinical effect of dexibuprofen suppositories combined with budesonide in the treatment of acute pharyngitis complicated with high fever in children. Methods A total of 80 children with acute pharyngitis complicated with high fever who were admitted to Wuhan Children's Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from January 2020 to September 2022 were selected. They were randomly divided into two groups by the random number method:the control group(40 children)and the observation group(40 children). The control group was given dexamethasone acetate injection by aerosol inhalation. The observation group was given budesonide aerosol inhalation combined with dexibuprofen suppositories. The children in both groups were treated continuously for 7 days. The clinical efficacy, time to disappearance of symptoms(high fever, cough, hoarseness, dyspnea),body temperature change at 0.5,1,2 and 4 h after medication, and changes of serum indexes including C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),immunoglobulin E(IgE)and interferon-γ(IFN-γ)were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group(95.00%)was higher than that of the control group(85.00%),with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The time to improvement of symptoms of high fever, cough, hoarseness and dyspnea in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The body temperature at 0.5,1,2 and 4 h after administration of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of CRP,TNF-α,IL-6,IFN-γ and IgE between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of CRP,TNF-α,IL-6 and IFN-γ in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the level of IgE was significantly higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of total adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Dexibuprofen suppositories combined with budesonide is effective in treating children with acute pharyngitis complicated with high fever, which can effectively improve their clinical symptoms, reduce the release of inflammatory factors and promote their rapid recovery.
