Clinical efficacy of intrathecal pumping of morphine combined with oral administration of hydroxycodone sustained-release tablets in the treatment of moderate and severe cancer pain
Objective To analyze the efficacy of intrathecal pumping of morphine combined with oral administration of hydroxycodone sustained-release tablets in the treatment of patients with moderate to severe cancer pain. Methods A total of 70 patients with moderate and severe cancer pain were selected from the patients admitted to the Quanzhou First Hospital,Fujian from June 2020 to June 2023,and were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with hydroxycodone sustained-release tablets orally, and the observation group was treated with a combination of intrathecal pumping of morphine on the basis of the control group. The pain score, inflammation index, adverse reaction rate and quality of life score were compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the pain score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of erythrocyte sedimentation rate,C-reactive protein, and interleukin-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The quality of life score of the observation group after treatment was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Intrathecal pumping of morphine combined with oral administration of hydroxycodone sustained-release tablets in the treatment of moderate to severe cancer pain can alleviate patient pain, reduce their level of inflammation, and improve their quality of life.It can be used for reference and promotion in clinical practice.
