Investigation on the function of needle roller on mouse model for melasma
Objective To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of needle roller on mouse model for melasma. Methods A total of 30 mice were selected and divided into the blank group(n=6),the model group(n=6),the 0.20 mm group(n=6),the 0.25 mm group(n=6)and the 0.30 mm group(n=6)according to the complete random grouping method. The mouse model for melasma was established by progesterone combined with ultraviolet irradiation. After treatment of needle roller intervention, the malondialdehyde(MDA)content, superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)activity in skin and liver of each group were measured. The immune organ index was calculated and its changes in each group of mice were observed. Results The immune organ index of mice in the model group was lower than that in the needle roller treatment group and the blank group with different lengths, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The activity levels of SOD and GSH-Px in the skin and liver of mice in the model group were lower than those in the blank group, and the content of MDA was higher than that in the blank group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After intervention with needle roller,it was found that the activities of SOD and GSH-Px in skin and liver of mice treated with 0.20 mm needle roller were higher than those of the model group, and the content of MDA was lower than that of the model group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Needle roller therapy can increase the activity levels of SOD,GSH-Px and decrease the content of MDA in mouse model for melasma, and the therapeutic efficacy of 0.20 mm needle roller is better.
