Clinical efficacy of pressing-needle combined with massage in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of pressing-needle combined with massage in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder. Methods A total of 100 patients with periarthritis of shoulder admitted to The Third Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University Chinese Medicine from June to December 2023 were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 50 cases in each group, using a random number table method. The control group received massage treatment, while the experimental group received additional treatment with pressing-needles on top of the control group. Both groups received 6 consecutive treatments for a total of 3 courses. The clinical efficacy, pain score, activity of daily living(ADL),range of motion(ROM)and upper arm muscle strength of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The visual analogue scale(VAS)scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The ADL score,ROM and upper arm muscle strength of the two groups were higher than those of the group before treatment, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The ADL score,ROM and upper arm muscle strength of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Pressing-needle combined with massage can improve the clinical efficacy, relieve pain, improve the ADL,and increase the ROM and the upper arm muscle strength, which is worth popularizing.
