The impact of PBL combined with mind mapping teaching mode on the clinical teaching effectiveness of respiratory and critical care medicine
Objective To investigate the impact of problem-based learning(PBL)combined with mind mapping teaching mode on the clinical teaching effectiveness of respiratory and critical care medicine. Methods From October 202 1 to March 2023,a total of 72 five-year undergraduate interns from Xuzhou Medical University in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine,Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital Group Suqian Hospital were selected and randomly divided into control group and experimental group using a random number table method, with 36 students in each group. The students in the control group used traditional PBL teaching method, while the students in the experimental group used PBL combined with mind mapping teaching method. The assessment scores, thinking ability and internship satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results Before teaching, there was no statistically significant difference in the assessment scores between the two groups of students(P>0.05).After teaching, the theoretical knowledge and skill assessment scores, thinking ability, and teaching satisfaction of the experimental group students were higher than those of the control group, and t he differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In clinical teaching of respiratory and critical care medicine,PBL combined with mind mapping teaching mode can improve students'comprehensive abilities and teaching effectiveness.
