Application of Plato and fishbone diagram analysis in standardizing the management of narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs
Objective To analyze the use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs,and to provide scientific reference and basis for the standardized management and rational use of narcotic drugs.Methods The prescriptions of narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs in Loudi Central Hospital from January to December 2022 were randomly selected by hospital prescription examination system,and were statistically analyzed by Plato and fishbone diagram,and targeted rectification measures and improvement schemes were put forward.Then the prescription qualification rates before rectification(July to December,2022)and after rectification(July to December,2023)were compared,so as to determine the scientific rationality of the rectification measures.Results Through Plato's analysis of 448 cases of irrational prescriptions(doctor's orders)of narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs,it was found that there were mainly 3 types of irrational prescriptions and 7 departments that produced irrational prescriptions.Then fishbone diagram was used to analyze the root cause,the main reasons were found in four aspects,and a series of corresponding rectification measures were put forward.Finally,by comparing the prescriptions before and after rectification,it was found that the qualified rate increased from 87.56％to 98.56％,and the number of major and minor irrational prescription types decreased significantly,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion Using Plato and fishbone diagram to analyze the prescriptions of narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs can effectively improve hospital supervision measures,standardize prescription behavior and promote rational drug use,which has certain clinical value.
