A case of Henoch-Schonlein purpura after rabies vaccination
At 9:00 on June 4,2022 and 14:00 on June 7,2022,a child was inoculated with the first dose and the second dose of human rabies vaccine(Vero cells)in the vaccination clinic of a health center.From June 8 to July 5,2022,the child was diagnosed as Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP)in four hospitals.On October 21,2022,the correlation between the HSP occurred after this child was vaccinated with rabies vaccine and the vaccine was investigated.The vaccination data related to the immunization program since the birth of the child,as well as the qualification of the vaccine manufacturer and the product quality certificate,batch number,vaccine purchasing channel and qualification certificate of the supplier were inquired.Investigation on the suspected adverse events following immunization(AEFI)was carried out,and the diagnosis comment of the investigation was"non-AEFI".The HSP event after rabies vaccination is unrelated to the vaccine,which belongs to coincidental illness.
