Application of clinical internship combined with simulated patient exercises in gynecological clinical practice standardized training
Objective To explore the application effect of clinical internship combined with simulated patient exercises in gynecological clinical practice standardized training.Methods A total of 30 physicians who received standardized training in the Department of Gynecology,Affiliated Hospital of Weifang Medical University from September 2021 to September 2022 were selected as a control group and trained using conventional teaching methods,30 physicians who received standardized training in the Department of Gynecology,Affiliated Hospital of Weifang Medical University from October 2022 to October 2023 were selected as an observation group,to implement clinical internships combined with simulated patient exercises.The academic performance,clinical thinking,practical and emergency response abilities,and the recognition of teaching methods by standardized trained physicians between two groups at the time of admission and exit were compared.Results The theoretical and skill operation test scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group at the time of exit,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05),the clinical thinking ability evaluation scale scores of medical students in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at the time of exit,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05),the mini cex clinical exercise evaluation and emergency capability assessment scale scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group at the time of exit,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05),the observation group had a higher level of agreement with the teaching methods among the standardized trained physicians compared to the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of clinical internship combined with simulated patient exercises in gynecological clinical practice standardized training can further improve teaching effectiveness,improve the theoretical and skill operation scores of training physicians,and promote their effective improvement of clinical thinking,and practical and emergency response skills.Moreover,standardized training physicians have a high level of agreement with this teaching method.
