Application of health education based on theory of planned behavior in patients with ischemic stroke in rehabilitation period
Objective To analyze the application value of health education based on theory of planned behavior(TPB)in patients with ischemic stroke in rehabilitation period.Methods A total of 82 patients with ischemic stroke admitted to and treated in the Third People's Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into the control group(n=41)and the observation group(n=41)according to the random number table method.The control group was treated with conventional health education,while the observation group was treated with health education based on TPB.And both groups of patients were intervened for 1 month.The self-care management ability(self-care ability scale[ESCA]),disease awareness(illness cognition questionnaire[ICQ])and quality of life(The World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF[WHOQOL-BREF])of the two groups of patients were compared before and after intervention.Results After intervention,the ESCA,ICQ and QoL of the observation group were all higher than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Health education based on TPB can improve patients'ESCA,ICQ and QoL.
