Study on the effect of Bunao oral liquid on improving sleep quality
Objective To explore the effect of Bunao oral liquid on improving sleep quality.Methods A total of 48 female ICR mice were randomly selected and divided into a control group and an experimental group(low dose group,medium dose group,high dose group),with 12 mice in each group.The experimental group mice were given Bunao oral liquid,while the control group received the same volume of distilled water.The sleep status of mice in each group was observed through direct sleep test,pentobarbital sodium sleep time extension test,pentobarbital sodium subthreshold dose hypnosis test,pentobarbital sodium sleep latency test and inducible nitric oxide synthase(INOS)activity test.Results According to the results of direct sleep test and pentobarbital sodium sleep prolonging test,Bunao oral liquid had no effect of directly putting mice to sleep,but it can cooperate with pentobarbital sodium.The average sleep time of middle and high dose groups was longer than that of control group,which can obviously prolong the sleep time of mice.According to the results of subthreshold dose hypnotic test of pentobarbital sodium,the average sleep incidence rate of low,medium and high dose groups was higher than that of control group,which can obviously increase the sleep incidence rate of mice.According to the results of pentobarbital sodium sleep latency test,the average sleep latency of middle and high dose groups was shorter than that of control group,which can obviously shorten the sleep latency of mice.According to the results of INOS activity determination,INOS activity in the forebrain of normal control group,Bunao oral liquid group and original decoction group was significantly lower than that of model control group,which could significantly reduce INOS activity in the forebrain and reduce the dosage volume.At the same time,Bunao oral liquid had no obvious adverse effect on the weight of mice.Conclusion Bunao oral liquid can nourish the brain and calm the mind,and improve sleep quality.
