Observation on the therapeutic effect of transnasal smelling therapy with Jiangxia Zhini Formula on nausea and vomiting after TACE for hepatocellular carcinoma
Objective To explore the control effect of transnasal smelling therapy with Jiangxia Zhini Formula on nausea and vomiting in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma after transarterial chemoembolization(TACE).Methods From January 2022 to December 2023,80 patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma who underwent interventional surgery at the Department of Hepatobiliary Spleen and Stomach,the Third People's Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected.They were divided into a control group(n=40)and an observation group(n=40)using a random number table method.The control group received commonly used antiemetics and routine care,while the observation group received transnasal smelling therapy with Jiangxia Zhini Formula on this basis.Changes in indexes such as nausea,vomiting,comfort,and quality of life were observed before and after treatment in both groups.Results After treatment,the complete control rate of nausea and vomiting,comfort score,and quality of life score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Conclusion Transnasal smelling therapy with Jiangxia Zhini Formula can effectively alleviate postoperative nausea and vomiting in TACE patients and improve comfort.
