Observation on therapeutic effect of balanced cupping combined with acupoint application on obesity with spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of balanced cupping combined with acupoint application on obesity with spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction.Methods 100 obese patients with spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction admitted to Jinjiang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2022 to December 2023 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with acupoint application intervention in,and the observation group were treated with balanced cupping combined with acupoint application intervention.The TCM symptom score,obesity-related indexes,total effective rate and blood lipid level of the two groups were compared.Results After the intervention,the scores of obesity,edema,limb fatigue and weakness in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The body weight,body mass index and waist circumference of the observation group after intervention were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group was 94.00％,which was higher than that in the control group(78.00％),with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).The total cholesterol,triglycerides,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in the observation group after intervention were better than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 4.00％,which was not statistically different(P＞0.05)from that in the control group(2.00％).Conclusion The balanced cupping combined with acupoint application intervention for obese patients with spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction can further alleviate their obesity symptoms,improve the effect of obesity intervention,and promote the improvement of blood lipid indexes,and this scheme is safe and ideal.
