Clinical effect of external washing with Yinchenhao Tang and early intervention with phototherapy in the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia
Objective To explore the clinical effect of external washing with Yinchenhao Tang and early intervention with phototherapy in the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. Methods A total of 1643 newborns with jaundice were selected from the Obstetrics Department of Liuzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from July 2020 to June 2023.They were fumigated and washed with Yinchenhao Tang(containing 13 kinds of herbs),and 499 cases(30.37%)of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia were diagnosed. They were divided into 3 groups according to the different treatment methods received by the children.168 cases in Group A were treated with phototherapy and traditional Chinese medicine bathing,177 cases in Group B were treated with traditional Chinese medicine bathing, and 154 cases in Group C were treated with phototherapy.By collecting clinical data such as basic maternal and infant information from 3 groups,a database was established to statistically analyze and compare the therapeutic effects of the three groups of cases. Results The jaundice regression time and serum total bilirubin value in group B were higher than those in group A and group C,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The time of phototherapy and hospitalization in group A were shorter than those in group C,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Early external washing with Yinchenhao Tang(containing 13 kinds of herbs)for the intervention of neonatal jaundice has a low incidence of hyperbilirubinemia. The combination of phototherapy and Yinchenhao Tang in the treatment of hyperbilirubinemia has a rapid resolution of jaundice, short phototherapy and hospitalization time, significant therapeutic effect, which is worth promoting.
