Research progress of acupuncture treatment of sepsis based on vagus nerve-adrenal anti-inflammatory pathway
Sepsis is a common acute and critical disease caused by infection,which has attracted wide attention of clinicians at home and abroad because of its rapid onset,poor prognosis and high mortality.As a traditional Chinese medicine treatment,acupuncture is widely used in various diseases.In recent years,acupuncture has played an anti-inflammatory role and improved immune function to treat sepsis,which has been confirmed by many studies.The mechanism of acupuncture in the treatment of sepsis in recent years is reviewed and summarized in this paper,the mechanism of acupuncture in activating vagus nerve-adrenal axis to play an anti-inflammatory role and treat sepsis is discussed and analyzed,and the role of stimulating vagus nerve through hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis to make adrenal gland secrete cortisol and catecholamine anti-inflammatory substances in the treatment of sepsis is investigated,so as to provide a new perspective for the study of acupuncture in the treatment of sepsis from the perspective of vagus nerve-adrenal anti-inflammatory pathway and acupuncture in the treatment of sepsis through autonomic nerve anti-inflammation.
