Impact of intraoperative psychological suggestion therapy on pain and sleep quality of patients after laparoscopic surgery
Objective To investigate the impact of intraoperative psychological suggestion therapy on postoperative pain and sleep quality. Methods A total of 62 patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery in the operating room of Gansu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to December 2023 were selected.Patients were assigned to either the observation group(31 cases)or the control group(31 cases)using a random number table.Control group received only the standard surgical procedure and nursing care, while the observation group received standard care plus psychological suggestion therapy during surgery. After the surgery, the patients were evaluated by visual analogue scale and Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),and their quality of life(QoL)was evaluated by generic quality of life inventory 74(GQOLI-74).Results Postoperatively, that patients who received psychological suggestion therapy had a significant reduction in postoperative pain, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).In the PSQI scores, there were significant improvements in all aspects except sleep onset time, sleep quality, and daytime dysfunction compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,patients who received psychological suggestion therapy scored higher on all dimensions of the GQOLI-74 than the control group, indicating an improvement in their quality of life, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with conventional operation and nursing during operation, intraoperative psychological suggestion therapy is helpful to relieve postoperative pain, effectively improve patients'postoperative sleep quality and improve their QoL,which is of positive significance and worthy of clinical promotion.
