Comparison of efficacy and safety of oblique supine position and supine position in flexible ureteroscope lithotripsy
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of the oblique supine position and the supine position in flexible ureteroscope lithotripsy(FURL).Methods A total of 200 patients admitted to the Department of Urology of the First People's Hospital of Yulin who underwent FURL for kidney stones from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected for the study. They were divided into the control group(supine position)and the observation group(oblique supine position)according to the random number table method. The operation, stone removal rate, postoperative pain level at 24 h,and quality of life of both groups were compared. Results The operation and hospitalization duration were shorter, the incidence of failure of the first ureteral access sheath(UAS)placement and postoperative pain scores at 6 h,9 h,12 h,and 24 h were lower, and the one-time stone removal rate and the quality of life score were higher in the observation group than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion FURL combined with oblique supine position can shorten surgery and hospitalization time, improve the success rate of first UAS implantation and one-time stone removal, alleviate postoperative pain, and improve the quality of life after treatment.
