Application evaluation of Feilike mixture in the treatment of non-severe community-acquired pneumonia
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Feilike mixture in adjuvant antibiotic therapy in patients with non-severe community-acquired pneumonia(CAP).Methods A total of 80 patients with non-severe CAP admitted to Jiangyin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2021 to December 2022 were selected and divided into the control group(n=40)and the observation group(n=40)according to the random number table method.The control group was only treated with antibiotic therapy,while the observation group was treated with antibiotic therapy combined with Feilike mixture.The treatment time of both groups was about 1 week.The clinical efficacy,time for improvement of clinical symptoms,levels of inflammatory mediators before and after treatment,evaluation of quality of life(QoL)after treatment,and incidence of adverse reactions(ADRs)were included as the main observation indicators.Results The overall response rate in the observation group was 87.5％,higher than 77.5％in the control group,without statistically significant difference(P＞0.05).However,the time for fever resolution,cough improvement,and lung rale disappearance in the observation group were shorter than the control group,respectively,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of C-reactive protein and white blood cells in the observation group were(20.732±4.786)mg/L and(6.763±1.251)× 109/L,lower than(25.977±5.077)mg/L and(7.953±1.248)× 109/L in the control group,respectively,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).After treatment,the QoL score of the observation group was(83.77±4.53)points,higher than(76.83±5.97)points of the control group,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Meanwhile,there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of ADRs between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of non-severe CAP,Feilike mixture can effectively promote the relief of clinical symptoms,improve chest imaging manifestations,reduce the level of related inflammatory indicators,and conducive to improving the therapeutic efficacy and QoL.Therefore,this treatment scheme has certain promotion and application value in actual clinic.
