Study on the effect of phacoemulsification combined with multifocal intraocular lens implantation on improving patients'visual quality
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of phacoemulsification combined with multifocal intraocular lens implantation in improving the visual quality of patients. Methods A total of 76 patients diagnosed with cataract in Sanming First Hospital and Fujian Provincial Hospital from March to October 2023 were divided into control group(38 cases, phacoemulsification and ordinary monofocal intraocular lens implantation)and experimental group(38 cases, phacoemulsification and multifocal intraocular lens implantation)according to the random number table method. The subjective symptoms, eye recovery, visual quality and incidence of complications between the two groups were compared. Results Compared with the pre-treatment,the ocular surface disease index scores, visual quality scores and intraocular pressure of both groups decreased after treatment, and the values of central corneal thickness, visual acuity and anterior chamber depth increased, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment,The ocular surface disease index scores, visual quality scores and intraocular pressure of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group, and the values of central corneal thickness, visual acuity and anterior chamber depth were higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the test group was 2.63%,which was lower than 10.53%in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Phacoemulsification combined with multifocal intraocular lens implantation can improve patients'subjective symptoms, promote eye recovery, and improve visual quality, which is worth popularizing in clinic.
