Four kinds ofsmallanthus sonchifoliustubers produced from different regions in Guizhou were studied to understand the content and distribution of amino acids and low poly fructose. The results indicated that there were significant differences amongsmallanthus sonchifolius fruits for amino acids and low poly fructose, which may be related to different ecological conditions and management levels. Among them, the fruits from Wengan had the highest total content of amino acids (1.611 mg/g), and the fruits from Luodian had the lowest total content of amino acids (0.406 mg/g). In addition, the highest total content of low poly fructose (24.4 mg/g) was in Luodian production region, and Weining region had the lowest total content of low poly fructose (8.78 mg/g).
