Fertilization experimentswere carried out with medium specification seedlingsof Bauhinia variegate Linn. Sp. PL. Fertilizer types have extremely marked differences on seedlings’ diameter at breastheight (DBH) net growth production, and fertilization amounts have marked differences on DBH net growth production, butfertilization times haven’t marked differences on DBH net growth production. All of the fertilizer types, fertilizationamounts and fertilization times have marked differences on crown diameter net growth production, but haven’t markeddifferences on tree height net growth production. Fertilizing can accelerate the DBH growth and increase the diameter class. Comparing the CK, applying inorganic compound fertilizer (150 g each plant, 3 times per year) for 9 months can increase the output per 667 m2 by 20.17%, and increase the income per 667 m2by 3 823.8 yuan every year. The economic efficiency wasconsiderable.
