This article reviews the standard for the line width of fountain pen and the evolution of testing methods for the line width of fountain pen,and explores the factors that affect the line width of fountain pen. Starting from the testing method of line width,factors such as writing load and writing paper that affect line width testing were studied,and the line width was actually tested.The test results under different testing conditions were analyzed. Finally,prospects were proposed for the implementation of the new version of the standard,and suggestions were put forward for the improvement of the standard.
