Discussion on Selection Strategy of Deepwater Offshore Engineering Proposals for Oil and Gas Development in the South China Sea
Based on the data of deepwater oil and gas reservoir, an offshore engineering plan is determined, and relationships between key parameters of offshore engineering scheme and fluid characteristics are established, which is a good countermeasure to treating the uncertainty of parameters of reservoir and oil and gas wells. Elements of the offshore engineering plan include reservoir geology and distribution, reservoir fluid property, drilling and well completion, workover and site characteristics. Experience in deepwater development of Gulf of Mexico is used as a reference for choosing suitable floating platform and transmission scheme in oil and gas development in the South China Sea.
