Efficiency Prediction of Mobile Floating Offshore Wind Turbine Based on Joint Probability of Wind and Wave
To accurately evaluate and analyze the power generation capacity of MFOWT,a time-domain simulation model of a 5MW MFOWT is established,validated,and calibrated in SIMA.The statistical analysis of the power generation capacity of MFOWT under the combined action of wind,wave,and current in different sea conditions throughout the year within a specific sea area was conducted.The results indicate that the expected annual net power output of the MFOWT can reach up to 70%of that generated by a conventional moored wind turbine.The analysis of the impact of environmental forces on power consumption of the thrusters in different sea states revealed that wind thrust is dominant among the environmental forces.The comparison of the power generation capacity of the MFOWT in stationary and moving states showed that the annual power output expectation increased by 24%in the latter.
