Research on Hydrodynamic Force Influence on Ice-Structure Interaction
The interaction between sea ice and ocean structures affects the safety of polar ships.Since the collision occurs near the water surface, the hydrodynamic effect cannot be ignored, and the structure-ice-water coupling should be considered during the collision. The experiment of hydrodynamic interaction between the sea ice and the fixed cylinder is carried out, which is numerically simulated with the CFD-FEM method. The difference between peaks of hydrodynamic force and collision force as well as the change of additional mass of the ice are analyzed. The results show that the CFD-FEM calculation results are in good agreement with the experimental results. In the process of sea-ice structure interaction, the hydrodynamic force has a certain influence on the impact force, and it is increased with the velocity and decreased with the size and number of polygonal edges. The additional mass of the ice is increased first and then decreased near the peak collision force.
