Study of Floating Wind Power Mooring System Schemes in Shallow Water Environment
The mooring system is one of the key technologies in the design of shallow water floating wind turbines. This paper establishes a numerical model of the mooring system of a floating wind turbine platform by using the software OrcaFlex and designs four mooring schemes for the semi-submersible 5MW-OC4 floating wind turbine in shallow water environment.Numerical simulation is carried out under different wind and wave conditions. There is not much difference in the motion response for the four mooring schemes, but the maximum mooring cable force of the fourth mooring scheme(heavy block-float-heavy block)is the smallest, which meets the specification requirements under operational and survival sea conditions, and provides a reference for the design of the actual offshore shallow water mooring system.
