Study on the Regularity of Hydrate Deposition and Blocking in the Undulating Section of Deepwater Gas Pipeline
In order to study the fluid accumulation pattern in the undulating pipe sections of a deep-water gas pipeline, and to accurately calculate the temperature and pressure field in the undulating pipe sections, the critical liquid-carrying model, the liquid-holding rate model, and the temperature-pressure field model that took into account the inclination of the pipeline were established. The results of the model calculations were compared with the test data, and the calculations were performed on engineering examples. The calculation results showed that the critical fluid-carrying flow rate of the undulating pipe sections and the fluid-holding rate in the pipe increase and then decrease with the increase of the pipe inclination angle, and there is a critical inclination angle.Based on the established temperature and pressure field model and combined with the phase equilibrium curves of natural gas hydrates, the hydrate-generating region within the deepwater gas pipeline can be identified. The results of the study can provide certain ideas and theoretical basis for the prediction, prevention and management of hydrate deposition blockage in the undulating section of deep-water gas pipelines.
