Study on Wave Dissipation of I-shaped Floating Breakwater under Medium-long Period Waves
A three-dimensional hydrodynamic method is established to investigate the interaction between waves and floating breakwater by applying STAR-CCM+software.The structure of I-shaped and T-shaped floating breakwater is used to study the wave dissipation under medium-long period waves, the wave dissipation of two floating breakwaters is compared and analyzed. The transmission coefficient and motion response of I-shaped floating breakwater under different incident wave angles and periods are studied and analyzed. The wave dissipation of the two floating breakwaters are varying with different wave periods. The wave dissipation increases with decreasing wave period. With the increase of the incident wave angles, the amplitude of surge, heave and pitch decreases, and the amplitude of sway, roll and yaw changes from increase to decrease. The wave dissipation performance of floating breakwater under medium-long period waves can provide a reference to the design of offshore floating breakwater.
