The bibliometric visualization analysis of research on enhanced recovery for esophageal cancer patients at home and abroad based on CiteSpace
Objective To analyze the literature on enhanced recovery for esophageal cancer patients at home and abroad, and to elucidate the current research status and hotspots in this field. Methods CiteSpace software was used to perform a bibliometric visualization analysis of the core databases in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and Web of Science from January 1,2010 to March 16,2024,focusing on keywords and mapping. Results A total of 244 Chinese-language articles from CNKI were included, yielding 8 clusters:enhanced recovery surgery, enhanced recovery, enteral nutrition, thoracoscopy, perioperative period, psychological state,rehabilitation,thoraco-laparoscopy.The Web of Science database included 189 English-language articles, yielding 13 clusters:anastomotic leakage,C-reactive protein, clinical pathway, minimally invasive surgical procedures, thoracic surgery, esophageal surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, measurement tool, implementation, fast track, delayed gastric conduit emptying, anesthesia, and preoperative assessment and risk management.Current research on enhanced recovery for esophageal cancer is primarily focused on complications, surgical techniques, and perioperative care. Conclusions Comparing the research status at home and abroad, the research field of enhanced recovery of esophageal cancer in China has developed steadil. In the future, strengthening collaborations with international research institutions and expanding the scope and depth of research will further refine the research content.
