Application effect of patient participation management mode combined with Newman system nursing mode in patients with primary liver cancer undergoing interventional therapy
Objective To investigate the effects of a patient-participation management model combined with the Neuman systems nursing model on patients with primary liver cancer undergoing interventional therapy. Methods A total of 124 patients with primary liver cancer treated at Anhai Hospital,Jinjiang City, between September 2021 and May 2023 were selected as study subjects.Using a 1∶1 random envelope draw method, the patients were divided into a combined group and a control group, with 62 cases in each group. All patients received drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization(DEB-TACE)for three months. The control group received routine nursing care during the treatment, while the combined group received nursing care based on the patient-participation management model and Neuman systems nursing model in addition to routine care. The objective response rate(ORR),medication adherence, quality of life, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing intervention, the ORR in the combined group was 83.9%(52/62),which was higher than that in the control group[67.7%(42/62),P<0.05];the medication adherence score, assessed using the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale(MMAS),was higher in the combined group[(6.52±1.65)]than in the control group[(5.45±2.12),P<0.05];the emotional index, health index, and life satisfaction index of the combined group were(87.38±2.13),(89.47±1.47),and(86.46±2.46),respectively,all significantly higher than those in the control group[(77.02±1.98),(79.47±2.47),and(69.83±3.11),all P<0.05].The incidence of adverse reactions in the combined group was 6.5%(4/62),lower than that in the control group[21.0%(13/62),P<0.05].Conclusion The application of the patient-participation management model combined with the Neuman systems nursing model in primary liver cancer patients undergoing interventional therapy can improve the objective response rate and medication adherence, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, and enhance patients'quality of life.
