Research and Development on Heat Dissipation of High-Power LED for Automobile Headlamps
The high-power LED chips used for automotive headlamps generate high heat flux.The rapidly increasing temperature of LEDs will result in reducing the luminous efficiency or even failure.Therefore,measures should be implemented to decrease the thermal resistance of LEDs and control the temperature rise.The heat dissipation of LED headlamps restrict its further application in automotive lighting.This paper is based on the influence of heat effect on LED and basic theory of heat dissipation,and the existing methods for LED headlamp heat dissipation are researched and summarized.Finally,this paper outlines future prospects for enhancing heat dissipation measures of headlamps,which can provide effective support for the future development of LED heat dissipation technology.
