Design of Color Projection for Vehicle Based on DLP
With the evolution of headlamps in forms of intelligence and pixellation, more and more projection based technologies are used in the field of headlights. The application of projection technology makes headlights more precise and controllable, bringing better human-vehicle interaction and lighting experience.Traditional automotive signal lamps are usually made by film or MLA projectors, and the projected images with those technologies normally have a fixed single color and uneditable, whereas for digital light processing technology(DLP),the image signal is digitally processed first, and then the light is projected, making it a good solution for editable colorful pattern projection. The color micro-projection module based on DLP technology uses three monochromatic LED light sources to achieve high-resolution color projection effect through the Kohler illumination or Critical illumination system, and the optical efficiency of the module can reach 24%.At last, the advantages and disadvantages of the two lighting methods are analyzed, which provides a reference for the design of the DLP color micro-projection optical system.
