Transmittance Rates of BIPV Glass to LED Red,Blue Light and Typical Sunlight
A new type of cadmium telluride BIPV glass was used as the experimental object, and the light transmittance of LED monochromatic red light,red-blue mixed light(4∶1)and sunlight in typical sunny days were studied under six light intensities of 100,200,300,400,500 and 600 μmol-2·s-1.The results show that the red light transmittance of LED is 38.39%,42.52%,45.43%,38.94%,39.57%and 48.80%respectively.The light transmittance of red and blue light is 49.11%,44.09%,42.98%,48.95%,49.64%and 48.54%respectively.The transmittance of red light, blue light, green light and ultraviolet light in sunlight is 39.97%,39.49%,40.75%and 39.78%respectively,which is very close to the designed transmittance of 40%.The transmittance of visible light(400-700 nm)was up to 42%.Therefore,it is feasible to use this new type of cadmium telluride BIPV glass as a covering material for greenhouses and solar plants factories to replace traditional materials.
