As urbanization continues to advance,urban road lighting systems have begun to develop towards intelligence and energy efficiency.This paper explores the design concepts of urban road lighting systems,compares the advantages and disadvantages of current smart lighting solutions and different types of single lamp controllers.It proposes that intelligent control systems based on Internet of Things(IoT)technology are an important development direction for urban road lighting,enabling refined management and energy conservation of lighting systems.
