Analysis of Potential and Characteristics of Methane Production by Anaerobic Digestion of Donkey Manure under Medium Temperature Conditions
In this experiment,a batch anaerobic digestion process was used.Under the conditions of medium temperature(35±1)℃ and 30%inoculator concentration, donkey dung was selected as fermentation substrate, and the TS concentra-tion of biogas was designed to be 5%,6%,7%and 8%,respectively.The gas production potential and gas production rule of donkey dung anaerobic digestion were explored.A modified Gompertz model was used to fit the cumulative methane production. The results showed that the fermentation time of donkey manure was 40 days, and the experimental group with 8%TS concentration had the best gas and methane content, the average methane content was 54%,the TS gas production rate was 241.11 mL·g-1,the VS gas production rate was 286.29 mL·g-1,the TS methane production rate was 130.48 mL·g-1,and the VS methane production rate was 154.93 mL·g-1.The R2 values of the fitted data of each experimental group ranged from 0.9714 to 0.9958,which was well fitted to the model. It can be concluded that using donkey dung as raw material of biogas fermentation alone can produce more gas and stable methane content. Therefore, donkey manure is one of the available raw materials to produce biogas from livestock manure treated by anaerobic digestion process.
