The rehabilitation effect of diet nursing based on the principle of strengthening the spleen to benefit the lung in COPD patients with lung and spleen Qi deficiency syndrome
Objective To investigate the rehabilitation effect of diet nursing based on the principle of strengthening the spleen to benefit the lung in patients with lung and spleen Qi deficiency syndrome of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods Sixty four patients with lung and spleen Qi deficiency syndrome of COPD were randomly divided into test group and control group. The two groups were given regular health education. In test group,Jian Pi Bao Fei porridge was used for 3-month intervention, while no intervention was performed in control group.St·George′s Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ),traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score and six-minute walking distance(6MWD) test were applied before and after test. Results SGRQ scores were significantly decreased in test group(P0.01),and the decreased amplitude had significant difference compared with the control group(P0.01).TCM syndrome score of patients in both two groups were decreased, the total efficiency of test group was higher than that of control group, the difference was significant(P0.01);6MWD of both two groups were increased(P0.05),the change value of test group was significantly higher than that of control group(P0.05).Conclusion Diet nursing based on the principle of strengthening the spleen to benefit the lung can improve clinical symptoms, exercise endurance and the quality of life in patients with lung and spleen Qi deficiency syndrome of COPD.
