Investigation and analysis of satisfaction on medical service seeking among foreigners in invested enterprises in Beijing
Objective To learn the satisfaction on medical service seeking among foreigners in invested enterprises in Beijing,so that improve their convenience of living,and provide evidence for further improving the investment environment in Beijing.Methods This study investigated the satisfaction on medical service seeking among foreigners in invested enterprises in Beijing by the way of combination of internet and mail.SPSS 13.0 statistical software was used to conduct description on data with rate and proportion,Wilcoxon test or Chi-square test was conducted to their comparison.Results Totally 279 valid questionnaires were collected including 150 from internet and 129 from mail met the investigation conditions.The results showed that the total satisfaction on medical service seeking among foreigners was not high enough（52.2%）.Overall satisfaction with the state-owned hospitals was relatively higher than that of foreign hospitals.The level of medical clinics and nursing standard of care was considered higher for state-owned hospitals than that for foreign hospitals.The proportion of reimbursement of medical expenses in state-owned hospitals was higher than that in foreign hospitals.The difficulties for foreigners seeking medical care in Beijing mainly included the lag of medical clinics and nursing level to international standards,medical staves could not use English to fluently communicate with patients,hospitals had not medical seeking guidelines with Chinese and English.Conclusion Both the state-owned hospitals and foreign hospitals should strive to improve the level of medical treatment and nursing care,and the medical seeking materials with Chinese and English.Besides they still should improve the medical service levels,strengthen quality control and reduce medical costs.
