High-risk behaviors among persons infected with HIV transmitted via sex
Objective To investigate the status of high-risk behaviors among persons with HIV transmitted via sex,and to provide scientific basis for HIV prevention and control.Methods The non-probability sampling method was used to select 202 persons with HIV transmitted via sex.The participants were interviewed face-to-face with questionnaire and tested for HIV antibody.Then the obtained data were analyzed.Results The majority of the participants were female,young and middle-aged,and with low educational level.Farmer was the predominant career of the participants.The rates of condom use among the participants who had sexual intercourse with regular sexual partner,temporary partner and commercial sex partner during the past 6 months were respectively 41.01%,14.28% and 6.25%.Conclusion The high-risk behaviors commonly existed among the persons with HIV transmitted via sex.Surveillance,effective intervention as well as health education targeting the high-risk population should be conducted to prevent the spread of HIV through sex.
