Cockroach invasion situation and the population distribution in Licheng district,Putian city
Objective To explore the cockroach invasion situation in different places of Licheng district,Putian city.Methods Cockroach traps with different baits were placed in investigation sites.The trapped cockroaches were counted.Results Cockroaches were found in 48.9% of the cockroach traps.German cockroach was the predominant species（96.5%） in this area.Cockroaches were captured in 86.7% of the food industries,76.7% of the farmer′s market,and 100.0% of the meat stalls and noodle stalls.Cockroach bait was easier to capture cockroaches than bread did.Conclusion German cockroach is the predominant species in Licheng district,Putian city.A greater dosage of cockroach medicine should be adopted in this area to control the cockroach invasion.
